Diagnostic Description

  • First seen as a gray-white powdery film on grass blades. Infected leaves may turn yellow and die. When severe, the whole turfgrass area may be thinned and a dull white color.

 

Conditions Favoring Infestation and Typically Yearly Occurrence

Shade, poor air circulation, moderate temperatures, high humidity, cloudy weather favor disease. Fall.
